In scenes captured from dashcams and bystanders, civilians from Gaza can be seen standing alongside Hamas operatives, waiting by roads and junctions in Israel. As Israeli cars approach, they open fire with assault rifles and even rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) β destroying vehicles and killing passengers.
Other videos show terrified drivers being dragged from their vehicles, beaten, and kidnapped β many never to be seen again. Some cars are fired upon indiscriminately, even as they attempt to turn away.
What makes this footage even more chilling is the active participation and cheering of local Gazan civilians β not just as spectators, but as active collaborators in the violence.
